Periodontology
Healthy gums
The most common symptoms of periodontal disease that should prompt the patient to visit a specialist include unpleasant breath odor and bleeding gums during brushing.
In order to accurately diagnose the disease, we perform a specialized examination with the determination of API, PBI, and PSI indices. The treatment plan, depending on the form and degree of advancement of the disease, includes:
- hygiene (aimed primarily at removing tartar and deposits from the surfaces of teeth) and educating the patient about effective oral hygiene procedures. At the same time, if necessary, at this stage, dental caries treatment, root canal treatment for teeth requiring it, and corrective procedures (including prosthetic treatment and correction of malocclusions) are carried out.
- curettage and corrective procedures for gum level
- supportive periodontics (which includes preventive measures to prevent any recurrence of the disease, as well as regular check-ups of the condition of the periodontium).
Periodontal treatment allows for the restoration of the correct physiological structure of the periodontal tissues deformed due to previous diseases.
